On December 12, 2015 the Board of the Polish Physical Society appointed the Committee for Marian Smoluchowski Year. The Committee comprises 16 distinguished Polish physicists from academic centers in Gdańsk, Katowice, Kraków, Lublin, Łódź, Poznań, Toruń, Warsaw, and Wrocław.
