The National Quantum Information Centre in Gdańsk and Polish Physical Society have an honour to invite for the inaugural session on-line in memoriam Roman Stanisław Ingarden, the pioneer of the concept of quantum information, professor of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, in the 100-th anniversary of his birthday. The session will take place on Wednesday, Nov 25, 2020 as a part of the celebration of the centenary jubilee of the Society and the Year of Physics in Poland. During the session Charles Bennett (IBM) will give the R. S. Ingarden Memorial Lecture under the title ,,Information is Quantum: what early 20'th century physics has taught us about the nature of communication and computation”.
